Peer-2-Peer VPN

Peer-2-Peer VPN

A Peer-2-Peer VPN is different from traditional corporate VPN networks.

Instead of connecting to a central network, your computer participates in a virtual group with other computers that may or may not be in the same physical location.

P2P VPN's are much easier to deploy and manage. Plus, the simplicity and flexibility makes it easier to share and retrieve data.

We host the "supernodes" that enable the client computers to find and communicate with each other regardless of physical location.

To connect to a computer in your group, simply enter the group name and password. From there you can access a company server or a desktop just as if you were at those locations.

Remote Data Access

Remote Data Access

In the opposite column we describe our P2P VPN tool that links computers together regardless of their physical location. This section describes several ways to utilize that connection. We've been using remote access technology for many years. Since 90% of our work is on equipment outside of our office, we've gotten very good at it.

Almost everyone has used a tool that was outside the traditional office building: online banking, web cast presentations, FTP file access, remote desktop, etc.

When appropriate security measures are taken, then remote access to data or applications is a huge time saver. It also opens up many collaboration possibilities.

We use a variety of tools to manage thousands of desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, etc., but remote desktop support is the most visible to a client. The Internet has made it possible to assist a client from 5 or 3000 miles away.

So far we haven't heard any complaints about making someone's job easier.
